Working-day with a profession
Inspired in the good job made by our German partners regarding the insertion into the labour market, from the school, we decided to start up with our "Working day witha profession", in which our pupils, depending on their job-related concerns and expectations, spend a working-day in the company of a professional.
Among the pupils of the project we have future teachers, politicians, doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, translators, engineers, computer technicians, biotechnology professionals, among others.
Internship in Germany
As a result of the partnership with the schools involved in the project, we have started a collaboration with the German school, Friedrich Spee Gesamtschule, and 2 of our pupils have done an internship in a German company (Benteler) and in a hospital with children. Moreover, during this week they have been hosted with a German family. Furthermore one of the teachers involved in the project did a job-shadowing in Friedrich Spee and got involved as Spanish and Literature teacher.
Career Days
During the second and third year of the project, we have been organising Career Days, in which several of our former pupils having different professional profiles (politicians, psychologists, professional dancers, entrepreneurs, teachers, among others) visited us and had a talk-debate with the students involved in the Erasmus and those who are attending the last academic years in our high school. Our pupils could exchange their impressions and listened with interest the advice and anecdotes told by the former students.
For the coming years this Career Day has been added in our Career Counselling Program, as a result from our current Erasmus Project
