Inspiring Studies and Future Careers

The biggest impact of this project is several events and activities that will be in our partner schools’ future calendar: The Career Day, STEM workshops and days, Science Night, robotics workshops, visiting companies and secondary schools (the next step in education for our students), Career Fairs, job shadowing, practical training and promotion of vocational education and entrepreneurship, celebrating Europe Day etc.

Pupils have got better understanding how their studies at school are connected with their everyday life. They start thinking about their future career earlier which is good for their future. At least some of them are more motivated learners which makes their studies easier and more meaningful. They also have more entrepreneurial ideas because they have experienced their own ability to take responsibility and turn ideas into reality.

Parents of the pupils who were active in the project are more involved in school life. They think more about what their children need and like and what they are able to do. They know better how to support and motivate their kids and how to help them find their way in life.

In partner schools the skills are taught in a wider variety of in-school and outside-of-school settings as one of our leading intentions was to create more inspiring and motivating learning environment. Informal learning situations during project activities in schools and international meetings have improved pupils’ understanding of life. Teachers are more aware of what young people need, how to motivate them, which innovative methodologies to use.

The pupil-centred pedagogical approaches that were practised during the project will be sustainable and enrich the school life of partner schools after the end of the project. Every partner school has learned a lot from others and has improved their own school environment and activities. We have better knowledge of similarities and differences of the education systems of other European countries.

Both teachers and pupils have improved their foreign language and cooperation skills which is good for the school as a whole. People are more open-minded and ready to face challenges.

Schools have more partner organisations and contacts, they will continue cooperation with stakeholders (Employment Service, Centres for Lifelong Career Guidance, some non-governmental organizations, companies, schools and other institutions).

Both teachers and pupils have better transversal skills key competencies (communicating in a foreign language, Mathematical, scientific and technological competence, digital and media competence, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression, presentational skills).

All the partners have better understanding of other nations and cultures in partner countries. Schools have widened and strengthened the European dimension. They understand Europe and the values here, they have friends in other countries, they are more tolerant towards differences and
understand different cultures and ways.

Connections between partner schools are strong – our new three-year strategic partnership with the same partners and one more from Hungary has been  approved by the EU and we are continuing our cooperation. Long partnerships have strong impact on partners because we do not need to spend so much time to getting to know each other and can focus on cooperation.
