Inspiring Studies and Future Careers 

Our collaboration with all the project partners has brought considerable benefits to all of us.
 
 
There were several experiences and competencies that we expected our partners to bring along to the project. During the three years every partner contributed as well as they could and we learned a lot from each other which was one of the main aims of the project. During transnational meetings we always shared our thoughts and feelings and gave feedback to each other. Here are the strengths we want to point out about every partner and which inspire others to improve their school.
 
1) Vaala school (Finland):
- well developed support systems for students to avoid early school leaving;
- concept of inclusive education, nobody left behind;
- variety of staff members who provide specialized instructional support;
- high standards of teaching, well educated teachers;
- smart board technology in almost every class, well developed digital teaching and learning;
- advanced technological equipment and students' digital competence;
- coexistence with nature which is present to a greater extent;
- the colourful and peaceful layout and the mode of communication in school;
-career counselor at school, career guidance available whenever necessary;
- free warm meal and choice for special dietary requirements;
- good sports facilities, sports is popular, pupils are encouraged to move more.
 
2) Friedrich-Spee-Gesamtschule (Germany):
 
- permanent partnerships with companies;
- systematic support for students in transition from school to vocational training;
- a dual system of learning at school and apprenticeships, learning to apply for jobs;
- concept for career guidance, special programmes for academically weaker pupils;
- practical training student exchange abroad with partners from Estonia, Finland and Spain;
- inspiring and high-level STEM (MINT) activities, cooperation with Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum;
- lots of active teachers, who want to improve school;
- multicultural experience, ability to deal with and integrate pupils from immigrant background;
- well organised school lunch with great choice for every possible need;
- ability to manage a very big and diverse school.

 
3) Osnovna Skola Zaprudje (Croatia):
 
- low level of early school leaving;
- individual student support, remedial education;
- active team of teachers, well organised team work, sharing of tasks;
- support for gifted students;
- a tradition of debate, debating as a way of learning and being tolerant;
- pupils great ability to make presentations in English and acting;
- varied choice of hobby clubs, so every pupil can do extra-curricular activities;
- active hiking club for the whole families of pupils and teachers;
- a film group at school, they make videos of everything;
- good contacts with national TV and radio stations, which is good for dissemination);
- vocational training centres for disabled people (not at school but in town)

 
4) Sabina Mora school (Spain):
 
- reception classrooms for immigrants, 35% of students come from immigration;
- selling & marketing cooperatives arranged by the Economy teacher students buy some local products and sell them in school during the brunch break;
- thematic classrooms, well equipped with computers and ICT tools, interactive White Boards;
- active use of ICT, a Moodle platform in use;
- 3-D-Construction-Course, teachers with technical education;
- programme of Curricular Diversification, meant for pupils having difficulties to pass their studies;
-  reading Promotion Plan (reading Thursdays and discussion Tuesdays in the school library);
- bilingual programme starting next school year;
- inclusive and special schools for children with handicaps (in the region)
 
5) Kääpa School (Estonia)
 
-School is a clean, cozy and comfortable place where pupils feel good;
-concept of inclusive education, nobody left behind;
-individual support for academically weaker pupils or pupils with special needs, remedial education;
-staff members who provide specialized instructional support;
- country school, tight connections with nature;
- long tradition of project work;
- sports is popular, pupils are good at several fields;
- free warm meals; pupils can have porridge in the morning before lessons;
- constructive and balanced communication between students and teachers, friendly atmosphere;
- good choice of hobby clubs and the choice is widening.
