Education system in Finland
All pupils go to same schools in Finland in classes 1-9.
Then it is time to choose between upper secondary
school or vocational school. Both can get about 50 %
of young people. All schools are free of charge.
We have had this education system since 1974.
Finland 100
We have selected one hundred educational innovations from Finland in 2016-2017. The Finland 100 project is an official part of a celebration programme for Finland’s centenary of independence in 2017.
