Benteler steel and automotive company

Dual education system combines apprenticeships in a company and vocational education at a vocational school in one course (read more in Wikipedia).

The head of vocational training, Dipl. Ing. Koch, introduced the enterprise  and showed us the wide field of apprenticeships at Benteler. Mr. Koch emphasized, that the company takes all efforts to get high qualified staff.

Benteler supports cooperation with schools and  offers practical training courses for students.

We had  a serious discussion about transition from secondary  school to starting an apprenticeship and the demands of companies in dual education.

After that apprentices showed us around in the training work shop. German teachers met former students and talked about their experiences.
