On Tuesday morning we visited two local small wood enterprises - Kapa Puit and Sternoberg. We learned about what they do, which products they make, where they sell the products, what jobs and qualifications the workers have. Students filled in worksheets and learned how school subjects are connected with these jobs.
In the afternoon we went hiking in Meenikunno bog (a nature conservation area). Bog is wet spongy ground consisting of decomposing vegetation, which ultimately forms peat. It is a typical kind of landscape in Estonia, bogs are are home for several species which can't live elsewhere. We explored nature and later had a picnic.
In the evening students played volleyball, had Estonian sauna (which is a special experience for the Croatians and Spanish) and reflected on the day. Teachers also did the same.
