Wednesday started with the opening of the Ancient Olympic Games of Kääpa School. The olympic fire was lit at the open air stage in Kääpa village and all the participants went in procession to to the school stadium. The first contest - the chariot race took part.
After that all project teams went to visit a shoe company Ritico.
We learned about a family enterprise and saw how entrepreneurial people are able to start and manage a successful company far from the capital city and big markets.
On a trip in Võru county we saw important landmarks and learned about local culture and nature. The highest hill of all three Baltic states Suur Munamägi is a must for every visitor in South- Estonia. Rõuge church is a beautiful example of Estonian country churches. Rõuge is a village of seven lakes.
There are lots of so called tourist farms in this area. Accommodating guests is one way of earning living in the countryside. We had a home made Estonian dinner in one of these farms.
